Ever feel like your brain is still under construction?

You’re not alone!

Welcome to ADHD-Mind By Design.

Most engines occasionally need a tune up, and your mind certainly is no different.Bit by bit, we develop habits that steal our focus, and our ability to think clearly, and that accumulation of coping mechanisms often accounts for why Attention Deficit Disorder seems to get worse with time for many people.

Fortunately, it doesn’t have to remain that way!

ADHD creates the neurochemistry that runs our mind, and of course, doctors strive to correct that with medicines. That’s their job. They are working with the brain, specifically the neurochemistry of the brain.

This blog will focus on ways that we can use our mind to effectively “tune” the brain’s neurochemistry. No, it’s not as quick as medicine, but once learned, it’s powerful, and can supplement the meds, and in some cases replace them altogether.

So how does that happen?

Before the ADHD neurochemistry causes the actual symptoms, something has to happen to trigger it to happen now rather than later. After-all, your ADD symptoms don’t happen equally at all times, do they?

Of course not! Sometimes it’s worse than others, and that’s what I’ve been studying for years now. What accounts for that difference?

What makes us completely unable to think clearly at this moment, and yet at a different moment be able to prioritize easily?

Why can we hyper-focus on this project, and yet not even get started on that one?

Why does our mind race a million miles per hour most of the time, but occasionally it moves slower.

Why is it that we keep making the same impulsive decisions over and over again? ADD symptoms do not happen consistently through our life. Instead they happen in a haphazard way so that we never depend on what our mind-state will be from moment to moment, right?

Why can we do the brilliant things easily, and yet get tripped up so easily by the simplest of things?

How come we don’t learn from our mistakes? Perhaps we spent 3 hours looking for our keys one night, and vow that we’ll never put them anywhere but on the key hook, and yet only 2 days later, we’re once more looking for my keys.

How can we stop this endless cycle of repeating the same mistakes over and over again?

Can you relate to any of that?

If so, then you’ve come to the right place, because this blog is not about fancy theories or possible causes of ADD to the exclusion of practical solutions. It’s not about the latest ADD drug, or method to diagnose.

No, this blog is much more practical than that. It’s about how you can tune your mind so that ADD becomes a gift, a gift that you wouldn’t trade for a million dollars if given the chance.

We’ve long known that some people use ADD as a gift. For examples, just look at Disney, Edison, Einstein, Robin Williams, and Jim Carey. They couldn’t do what they do without ADD.

I believe that each and every one us has a wonderful brain, that we are fearfully and wonderfully made, but that doesn’t mean that we’ll ever learn how to use that gift…and a gift unwrapped can’t do much good, can it?

Please, if you don’t consider ADD a gift, then I invite you to continue reading this site, because I’m not going to give you a bunch of gibberish about how wonderful ADD is and then leave you without the ability to unwrap the gift.

Instead we’ll be looking at each of the major ADD symptoms and how you can change what’s going on in your mind, to effect what’s going on in your brain!

So, how well does this actually work? These methods allow clients to slow down a racing mind in as little as two seconds, and continue doing what they were doing, but with a slow calm mind. They allow others to escape overwhelm in just a few seconds and be able to prioritize their thinking. Still others have gained control over their impulsiveness, and broken lifetime habits.

True, it takes time to learn the processes, but once you learn them, instead of being stuck with a disorder, you have the makings of a gift that is so incredible, it’s hard to imagine.
